– Google released Chrome 42 and announced that it has disabled NPAPI.
– Microsoft announced Microsoft Edge.
– Safari usage on mobile devices jumped dramatically, coinciding with high Apple device sales and a drop in Samsung profits.

Key figures from February include:

– Internet Explorer has seen it’s market share dip since January, both globally and in the UK.
– Windows operating systems continue to dominate the market, with 8.1 gaining share from Windows 7.
– Clients starting to mention Chrome more as a requirement for mobile/tablet testing.
– Android and iOS mobile operating systems have a combined  market share of around 80%.
– Studio is monitoring Windows 10 and Project Spartan; look out for a specific blog about this soon.
– Apple remains the dominant device manufacturer, closely followed by Samsung, then Nokia.
